Loving this video! That reminds me, ours is due for the shop. Maybe I'll fix it myself. Since its Celtic Connections time once again in Glasgow we were delighted to hear Dean Owens' song 'Raining In Glasgow' being used by BBC Radio Scotland to promote the festival - the largest winter music festival in the world! So for this weeks classic sessions track we dug deep into the hard drives and found this version of Dean performing the track live in the studio back in 2009! _http://youtu.be/RRbjxdtjRnQ One of our favorite sessions of last year was when Mike Nisbet stopped by and played us a few tracks from his debut album "Vagrant". Check out the link above to hear him playing "Funny Little Windows" live in studio. http://eugenetwist.bandcamp.com/ Follow this link to check out and buy a copy of Eugene Twist's debut offering. Its what we have been listening to in the studio (when we should be working) so far today! Defo worth picking up a copy of this one if your into perfectly crafted songwriting with a hint of Dylan & Sexsmith thrown in for good measure! http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/radioscotland/2012/01/35-scottish-artists-to-watch.shtml Its that time of year again. Vic Galloway's pick of Scotland's best up and coming talent to keep an eye on this year. Some of our handy work in there too! http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b0195bz7 Check out the above link to hear the first track from Eugene Twist's debut album "The Boy Who Had Everything" (about 47mins in). Recorded here at Elba over the summer of 2011. Recorded by engineer Steve Scott, mixed by Steve Scott and Eugene Twist. So we decided we would start posting up some tracks from, what we are calling, classic session tracks taken from the Elba Sessions of old! Here is a track from easily one of our favorite sessions, a few years ago Martin John Henry (then of De Rosa) was in the studio and played us a few live versions of material he was working on plus this version of Pest from De Rosa's 2nd album Prevention.
